Are you a Beatles fan? If you are, you might be interested to know that Bill Wyman, former bass player with the Rolling Stones and professional photographer, has ranked all 213 songs the Fab Four produced, from worst to best, with an insider’s analysis of the music and formulation of each song—and criticism (for the worst) and praise (for the best) mixed in.

You can find the complete rankings here: http://www.vulture.com/2017/06/all-213-beatles-songs-ranked-from-worst-to-best.html?utm_source=tw&utm_medium=s3&utm_campaign=sharebutton-b, starting with Number 213 “Good Day Sunshine” (the Revolver album), and ending with Number 1: “A Day in the Life” (Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band). Numbers 2 (“Strawberry Fields Forever”) and 3 (“Penny Lane”) were, we are told, autobiographical, and there are nuggets about the interplay among the musicians, and even comments like: “After a quiet ‘80s, he [Paul McCartney] went on the road, where he’s been intermittently available ever since. He even releases the occasional record, which no one ever listens to.”

See if you agree with listing George Harrison’s “Something” way back at number 13, or if you think the Beatles wrote 42 better songs than “Twist and Shout,” which came out in 1963 and established their reputation in the U.S. market.
